Mike Rollins - Director of Middle School Ministries
I'm from Panama City, Florida and I graduated from Huntingdon College with a Bacholors Degree in Religion. I have been called to work with teenagers, but, more specifically, Middle School students. I believe that Middle School students are in a unique place in their lives. One example is they start to question ideas or other things that they wouldn't have questioned a year ago. I love this about Middle School students because they are always striving to learn more about God and to understand it for themselves. In the Middle School Ministry we answer the questions that they have about school, life, and many other topics, and how they relate to this incredible God we serve...all in a creative/fun atmosphere!!!
The weekly programs available through our Middle School ministry are:
§ Elevate—On Wednesday Nights we come together from 6:15-7:30 in the youth room for worship and message time, but of course we also play some fun CRAZY games.
§ Sunday Mornings—Sunday School occurs from 9:30-10:30 am and consists of a biblically based lesson taught by adults and the Middle School Ministry staff.
§ Sunday Night Small Groups—Every Sunday night from 5:00-6:45 pm in the youth room, dinner is provided, we try to create a safe place for students to go through life together and talk about God. Small Groups are led by adults and the Middle School Ministry staff but we also encourage the students to give feedback and help other students through their struggles.
